Alexa Pinsky is a senior Neuroscience and Behavior Major at Barnard College of Columbia University. She is from Ann Arbor, Michigan and is very excited and honored to serve as the co-president of NPMS. Outside of NPMS, Alexa is involved with research, volunteering at Terrence Cardinal Cooke Health Care Center, and Peer Health Exchange. Alexa is passionate about teaching and helping people with their health. In her spare time, she loves painting, playing volleyball, and learning to play guitar!
Georgia Xenophontos, ’18
Georgia is a senior from Manhasset, New York majoring in English at Barnard College. She is extremely excited and honored to serve as the Co-President of NPMS. Outside of NPMS, Georgia is involved with research at the Columbia University Medical Center and she volunteers at the Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital. Georgia is also the President of Orthodox Christian Fellowship and the Vice President of a recently recognized ethnic club, Hellas. She is involved with Echoes, Barnard’s Literary Magazine, as well as Student Health Outreach. In her spare time, Georgia enjoys spending time with her family, exploring New York City, and playing different sports.
Keerthana Jeyaseelan, ’19
Keerthana is a sophomore from India, living in Bronx, NY. She is majoring in Neuroscience and Behavior and minoring in History. She is a research assistant at Columbia University Medical Center, an intern at UNICEF USA, and Peer Career Advisor in the Barnard Career Development Office. During her free time, she loves to watch movies and listen to music!

Sara Ardehali, ’19
Sara Ardehali is a junior from Los Angeles, California, majoring in Cellular and Molecular Biology with a double minor in Psychology and Classics. Outside of NPMS, she is involved in Columbia’s Delta Gamma (Zeta Theta Chapter), Barnard Association of Pre-Dental Students and Charles Drew Society. Sara is a student researcher at Columbia University’s Polleux Lab. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading and volunteering.
Nushrat is a junior from Queens, New York majoring in Cell and Molecular Biology at Barnard College. Outside of NPMS, she is a co-coordinator for Project Tutors and involved with MCaC’s Mosaic Committee and Columbia University Club Bangla. She is also a TA for introductory biology labs and a clinical research associate at Mount Sinai Hospital. Nushrat is an avid animal-lover, and in her free time she enjoys wildlife photography, watching true crime shows, and listening to podcasts.
Abigail Kempf, ’20
Abigail Kempf is a sophomore from Columbia, MO, majoring in Spanish and Latin American Cultures and minoring in chemistry. She is thrilled to serve as the treasurer of NPMS this year! Outside of NPMS, she is a coordinator for CU Student Health Outreach, a chemistry peer-to-peer tutor, a volunteer in the Child Life Department at Mount Sinai Hospital, and a Barnard Babysitter. In her free time she likes to bike, run, practice yoga, and dance.
